(it’s always) Sweater Weather with You
Fandom: Kuroko no Basket
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Midorima Shintarou/Kazanari Takao, hint of Nagisa/Rei
Warning(s): Domestic Fluff, Takao’s Jokes
Takao always knew that Shin-chan was rather peculiar and extraordinarily talented at finding the strangest items (just look at some of the lucky items he has had in the past, and anyone could tell you the same thing). He also knew that Midorima had a poor sense of fashion (any other sane green-haired fellow would have taken one look at the Shuutoku jerseys and applied elsewhere, the “Kings” title be damned).
Still, even knowing these things, he still couldn’t quite wrap his mind around the sight when he stumbled across his boyfriend wearing the ugliest sweater that had ever graced this green earth. At the hospital. The sight of it would probably make Shin-chan’s patients even more violently ill than they already were.
Notes: This is the first installation into a bigger universe I’m working on called “tiny bursts of galaxies” which is a crossover-fic of KnB, Free! and Haikyuu!! where they’ve all grown up and are working at their respective careers and lives, many of them having become coworkers and friends.
This particular fic is more of a prequel though.
Also, happy birthday to tamamori! This was supposed to be your birthday present. Ahahaha. Ha. Ha. And thanks to sweetestar for coming up with that nickname.

Top 10 Things About Gintama → #07 Tackling the Complicated Things
Anime often tends to avoid things that are often concealed in Japanese society—things such as homosexuality, bullying, transvestites, etc. Honestly, I can think of very few mainstream shows that have, for example, an openly gay character. Even if there is one, even in the show they’re usually just treated as the butt of a joke and aren’t looked at seriously.
It’s hard to define how many “unusual” characters are in Gintama, but, even if you compare it to American shows, there’s a hell of a lot. And the amazing thing is, these characters aren’t strictly there for jokes. They have stories and struggles and they’re treated just as “human” as everyone else. Even better, the anime shows the audience how these people are just as normal as they are, and that they shouldn’t be looked at with disgust or confusion. Gintama’s has one of the most progressive views on many issues that I’ve seen in anime, but Sorachi doesn’t try to make a big deal out of it or anything. Cause it’s, you know, normal. Or should be.
Every time this post comes around, I have to explain this.
Watch Dennou Coil, the most underrated anime pretty much ever.
- Yes, this is the standard of animation throughout the series.
- AND THIS IS A FILLER EPISODE.
- It’s basically about kids with what’s essentially Google Glass: The Game. The whole world is affected by this game. Traffic lights, school, anything.
- It’s good in the beginning and gets really, really good by the end.
- Shows the vulnerabilities of children.
- Well-written children in general. They fall under some tropes but they don’t suffer from the usual fallacies of writing children into series.
- And yeah, the filler episodes are really good. The whole series is worth watching.
Reblogging as a reminder to myself
wish this show was longer.
PLEASE WATCH DENNOU COIL IT’S REALLY COOL!!!!!
IS BEING HYDRATED REALLY WORTH ALL THIS PEEING?
